International Food Styling and Photography Conference

It has taken me several days to fully digest everything I learned from the food styling conference last weekend at Boston University.  If you are currently working as a food stylist or have any interest in becoming one, this is the place to be.  It is well worth the money to be surrounded by the caliber of talent that was present at this conference.   Some of the high points for me were listening to Clare Ferguson at the "Global Style" seminar, hearing the inspiring story of Beatrice Peltre of La Tartine Gourmande, and discovering Pornchai Mittongtare.  I also had the chance to meet a lovely stylist named Mari Louis Guy and I can not wait to pick up a copy of her new book called "Cakes to Celebrate Love and Life".  She owns and operates a bakery (Cakebread) with her brother in South Africa.  Meeting and talking with so many talented people was my favorite part of this event.  Thanks to everyone responsible for this wonderfully informative conference.  It was a great way to recharge my creativity.
